Haven’t heard of Yacon Syrup? Neither have I until I received some for free to try. Since I didn’t know anything about it, I did a little research before I tried it.

I noticed that Yacon Syrup has several health benefits and has appearing in the headlines across the world recently. It does everything from lowering your intake of carbs and maintaining balanced blood sugar to improving digestion and immune functions. It’s also a whole food sweetener, containing a variety of nutrients unlike the sugar we are use to eating.
I came across a lot of details and numerous scientific studies stating that the most obvious benefit of Yacon Syrup is that it has the potential to produce a significant decrease in body weight, waist circumference and body mass index.
Yacon syrup is low in calories and works to reduce hunger hormones. It also has the potential to have positive results on diabetes, by reducing blood glucose levels, glycemia, cholesterol and much more.
Organic Yacon Syrup’s sweet flavor comes primarily from Indigestible sugars called fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which make’s it an extremely low-glycemic, high-fiber alternative to sugar-rich sweeteners. It’s unique sugars that can actually feed the friendly bacteria in your intestinal tract. This is why Yacon is often referred to as a prebiotic. It provides benefits similar to consuming probiotics.

FOS acts as a dietary fiber and is important in keeping your digestive system working healthy. Unlike the sugars we normally eat, FOS is hard for the stomach to break down. It goes through the human body without being digested, which means that the calories it contains never enter your system. The undigested portion of Yacon passes along the intestines and reaches the colon, where it serves as food for friendly bacteria.
I came across a few recipes on the internet but I decided to try a couple of my own.
I had some Matcha Green Tea in my kitchen. I thought I would make some tea and try to add some Yacon Syrup to it. Since I really prefer some type of sweetener with it, I thought this would be a perfect combination. I used some Matcha Green Tea powder with hot water. Then I added a teaspoonful of Yacon Syrup. It tasted wonderful. I will definitely continue using Yacon Syrup with my Matcha Green Tea. I am very happy that I tried this together.
The second recipe I tried was a smoothie. I used 4-oz of 100% Four Berry Blend fruit juice, 1 scoop of Whey Protein, 1 scoop of Weight Loss Fat Burner Blend, 2-oz of water, 1 to 2 cups of ice and 1 teaspoon of Yacon Syrup. I blended all ingredients together in a blender. This is the perfect smoothie and very healthy. It tasted great!
Yacon Syrup actually works. It’s actually really good at what it does and it can actually transform your body. It has been scientifically proven to help you lose weight without any changes in diet or exercise. It increases your metabolism, which means your body can more easily digest food. Obviously, the results are going to be more noticeable if you maintain a careful diet and exercise routine, but it is easily possible to lose weight with Yacon without starving yourself or sweating in the gym.
